It’s sunny but the temperatures are just breaking into the twenties making it perfect for longer walks. There are still great drifts of poppies to be seen, wild gladioli, cistus (rock rose), wild sage and thyme, lilac, pyramid orchid and cherry and pear blossom all in bloom right now. Soon the pomegranate bushes will flower.
Not only is the countryside full of colour, but Roger and Jo’s garden is looking beautiful too, with the rose arbour in its full glory and the common irises coming into flower, carpeting the slopes with purple.
May is also a fabulous month for wild flowers, perhaps even better than April. We’re offering 30% discount for all available dates in May and June, so get in touch if you want to come and see the spring in Skopelos for yourself!
